About Us

Solly's Auto City has a rich history, which traces its roots back to 1947, when Mr Solly Berman opened Solly's Car Sales in Nelson Mandela Bay.

It was through his dedication and hard work, and by selling the finest in quality vehicles, that Solly's became a household name in Gqeberha.

In 1990, Solly's Car Sales was purchased by Nigel Bricknell, a motor dealer from East London, who moved to Gqeberha in 1983, who also owned several other independent pre-owned vehicle dealerships.

In 2000, Solly's Car Sales became Solly's Auto City, when we built and moved into our own current premises, at 777 Govan Mbeki Avenue in North End, Gqeberha.  

Our state-of-the-art, purpose-built building boasts a fantastic Showroom, Workshop, and cosmetic Body Repair Facility.  

Our showroom displays up to 50 vehicles.  

We also have an additional showroom, situated at 737 Govan Mbeki Avenue, where an additional 30 vehicles are displayed. 

We are proud to offer in excess of 80 quality vehicles from our two showrooms.
